Red Kite Flying - Esben Tjalve

Red Kite is a sextet led by pianist Esben Tjalve joined by the highly skilled musicians and seasoned lights of the UK jazz scene. The music is a seamless blend of electronic and acoustic sounds set in a jazz format combining the complex with accessibility and the composed with the improvised. The compositions create a musical universe that varies from cinematic meditative soundscapes to groovy noir tunes with reminiscent echoes of Miles Davis’ “Bitches Brew”.
